Keyless entry - BMW E60 2009 model

Hi All

I have replaced my car battery to Energiser instead of Panasonic.

However, i notice that if i put the key inside my bag or pants pocket, it cant detect unless i hold the key and touch the door handle only can open...

When i enter into the car, there is no key battery message appear. And i could press push start button without any problems.

So i wonder what is possible issues?? Is it still because the car key battery or key or the car battery?

Thanks.

is your new battery the same type as the old one? There is a difference in the way the car responds from a lead acid to an AGM style battery. Make sure your car is coded correctly for the style of battery so that the battery charges correctly. If that doesn't correct the issue, you may want to investigate either the antennae or the key. Do you have a second key to try with?
