Check to see if the wheel well in the trunk has water in it, i experienced this as well when mine got water in it, there are some components in the well that got wet for me.
Sounds like voodoo magic to me. but and take this as you will from a broke non mechanic, i take it that your car isnt running so, disconnect your battery touch the two cables together and try that according to nathan that resets your codes and then read your codes from there. but truthfully im not sure where to start. if your car runs just dont drive during thunderstorms i suppose.
