2004 330ci E46 cold hard start

trying to work out the hard start, cold is the worst, after it warms up, the engine will start right off. When it starts or barely starts, it runs at sounds like 300 rpm, barely running, turn on key three times, etc. step on on it a little - all the warning lights go off, etc. The car runs great. Replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump, no change, re-built vanos - no change, new spark plugs - no change. compression test - they are all 180psi or better. Replaced crankcase sensor and camshaft intake sensor, no change. I've got no engine codes at all. 188k miles. Whats next? I have not messed with injectors yet, the coils are new from 2014, all look great. Direction? Next steps?

check your starter motor the brushes may be sticking and not providing enough power

Starter has plenty of spin power, Replaced the Exh sensor on Camshaft - no change. COULD IT BE THE MAF Sensor, Have not touched that- Its proably old from previous onwer, Its not a BMW part number

But maf sensor is not used when cold only when closed loop it runs on sensors when engine gets to temperature from cold engine is designed to run without any sensors interfering

OK, THAT MAKES SENSE, WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE THEN, Fuel Injectors?, seems to be flooding after I step on it to clear the fumes, could it be fuel leaking down the injectors into cyl - its real rich fuel smell. Or not enough air?
