Power acceleration on uphill climbs

Hello Nathan and everyone!

I have a 95 525i M50 that will not accelerate when going uphill. My check engine light is on and at one point would go out when driving above 40 MPH on flat land. I had codes pulled by a shop and it only showed a "sensor" error (forgive me I don't have my diagnostic paper from that shop nearby to give the specific code currently) and they suggested my O2 sensor was bad. I replaced it, but no change in the acceleration issue. I changed all my sparks and ignition coils, as well as the camshaft sensor. Still no change in acceleration on hills but it has improved in drivability overall. What else could be wrong?

Thanks in advance for your replies and expertise guys!

Thanks for the response! I have driven it since and bought a BMW specific code reader and diagnostic tool and had a "Faulty DME" error. I purchased a used DME specific to my year make and model, but will need to have it programmed, per online research for it to work because of the EWS system. Any info on software I will need so I can program or sync the new DME?
